First Single "The Record Collector" To be released in celebration of Record Store Day 17th April 2010

THE RECORD COLLECTOR Times have changed in the music world and more so for the middle aged generation and up, growing up buying music from the local record shop which was on vinyl then cd and now (as quoted) "it's all gone MP3!" . It was a weekly homage for many music lovers to shuffle through the alphabetic rows of 7" & 12" records in their favourite record shop and if you were a real fanatic you would visit the 2nd hand record shop / record fairs for the valuable rarities looking for the perfect find. The record collector captures the romance of record collecting ( a saturday affair) An acoustic deliverence performed in a style that really takes you on a trip down "memory lane" which was also the name of Neil's favourite record shop.

LAST SHOP STANDING Last Shop Standing:Whatever Happened to Record Shops?

Record Store Day 2010 Edition - By Graham Jones - Last Shop Standing lifts the lid on an area of the music industry in tatters – a sad but true tale of the decline of record shops and their beloved vinyl too.  The author, Graham Jones has worked at the heart of the record industry since the golden 1980s.  He was there during the fruitful retail years and has witnessed the tragic decline of a business blighted by corruption and corporate greed.

Undertaking a final tour of the last remaining independent record shops in Britain, Graham has collected a wealth of entertaining stories that explain why the best are still standing, and how the worst of them blew it.

The book includes revealing anecdotes about rock stars and industry figures.

Since getting a break into the music industry following a colleague’s failed, comical suicide attempt, Graham Jones has amassed an excellent collection of anecdotes on his travels around the record shops of Britain – all included in Last Shop Standing:
